Established in 1993, we are one of the biggest, most successful, independent wine merchants in the UK. Winner of “UK Independent Drinks Retailer of the Year 2010 %2011”. We have 8 branches, plus warehouses, and 50 staff.
Since we started in business our main wholesale customers have been Cambridge and Oxford Colleges, Balls, and student organisations. We’re certainly one of the biggest suppliers in the field, and pretty good at it! We do everything from en-primeur first growths to lorry loads of cheap hooch for parties.

Students
Firstly, we support many wine socs and put on loads of tastings with a view to enlightening the student body to the joys of appreciating good wine, food and company.

Balls 
We have surely supplied more Cambridge and Oxford balls than any other wine company over the last 18 years, including Trinity, Magdalene and Peterhouse almost every ball since the 90s. We import directly from the producer to Cambridge, and  we deal directly with the big boys like Diageo - so we are cheap. We’re famously good at getting generous sponsorship deals from big brand owners.
And we have 10,000+ glasses for free hire and offer the best service in terms of flexible delivery, sale-or-return etc.
Best of all, we have planned, or helped to plan, hundreds of Balls. You can trust us (see below for testimonials). We have “total use” data (in the form of detailed excel planning sheets) from dozens of balls – an invaluable aid to a successful event.

Fellows’ Wine Cellars
 We supply most Oxford and Cambridge Fellows’ Cella rs at some level. I t’s been a great success for us and dealing with such experienced and cautious buyers has kept us very much on our toes. We host regular wine tastings, dinners, winemaker visits etc in Cambridge and Oxford.
Our approach is rather different from that of other merchants. Most UK merchants have agencies or sole distribution arrangements, they import those wines, then have to sell them.
Our Fellows customers are playing a long-term intelligent game in stocking their cellars and we, accordingly, operate more pragmatically – we search out the unusual and unknown, the rising stars, bargains and mature finds. Our selection process is extremely rigorous and totally independent.
However, we also stock all the dependable everyday wines that Restaurants and Catering Departments require.
En-Primeur. We don’t knock out offers every year – just the best vintages. We have superb access to the markets and often beat all other merchants on price and availability. With 7 retail branches and a thriving wholesale business, we are spending plenty, all year every year with the top growers, so they’re kind to us at offer time.
Our company accounted for around 10% of all the 2007 Vintage Port sold en-primeur in the UK. 
Unlike other merchants, we never taker a long position on en-primeur allocations so when we recommend a wine it’s because we totally believe it is a great buy – not because we have already bought 1000 cases and have to sell it, and pay for It!
